This June I had the pleasure of coordinating a lovely wedding at the always wonderful Loveless Barn in Nashville, TN. McKay and McClain's wedding was full of faith, family, and fun. The late afternoon ceremony took place in the courtyard and was absolutely beautiful. The altar was kept simple allowing the beautiful trees that surround the courtyard to speak for themselves. There was a small table with the communion elements and a small hydrangea flower arrangement. The ceremony was highly personalized as the couple had family members and friends give scripture readings and play an acoustic song during communion.
After the ceremony the couple was whisked away for photos while guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn area of the barn. After being announced into the reception the newlyweds shared their first dance and then had a private dinner in the bridal suite. While McKay and McClain were enjoying their first hours as newlyweds, I was ensuring that the live entertainment of the evening (Utopia Band) was set and ready to get the party started. After a mishap in traffic, the band had shown up late for set up, but all was on track now and the party was about to begin. After the cake cutting the dancefloor was open and guests didn't leave it the whole night. Dancing to their favorite R&B tunes McKay and McClain were having the time of their lives.
The night ended with a classic sparkler sendoff out front of the barn, and the couple was chauffeured off in a black getaway car.
McKay and McClain's wedding was elegant and classic. Their decor was light, and airy giving off summer vibes, and you could feel the love between this couple and their families. Amidst the reverent tone of their ceremony there was laughter, dancing, and even a few practical jokes (see the bride's gift to the groom below).
Congratulations to this lovely couple!
